Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited was incorporated in 1993 and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It works in the asset management sector as the investment manager for Canara Robeco Mutual Fund.
The company was originally set up as Canbank Investment Management Services Limited to manage the assets of Canbank Mutual Fund, and was renamed Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited in 2007 following a partnership between Canara Bank and Robeco (now ORIX Corporation Europe N.V.). It manages equity, debt and hybrid mutual fund schemes, running 26 schemes as of June 2025 with a quarterly average assets under management of about Rs 1,11,052 crore, of which over 91% was in equity-oriented schemes. It serves customers across more than 23 cities through 25 branches and a distribution network of over 52,000 partners including Canara Bank and other banks and mutual fund distributors, with retail investors accounting for a large share of its assets under management. The company is a joint venture between Canara Bank (51% stake) and ORIX Corporation Europe N.V. (49% stake).
Revenue from operations rose from Rs 204.59 crore in FY23 to Rs 318.09 crore in FY24 and Rs 403.69 crore in FY25, with profit after tax rising from Rs 79.00 crore in FY23 to Rs 150.99 crore in FY24 and Rs 190.70 crore in FY25, as per the RHP. The IPO was a mainboard book-built issue of about Rs 1,326.13 crore on the NSE and BSE, structured entirely as an offer for sale of 4,98,54,357 equity shares by Canara Bank and ORIX Corporation Europe N.V., priced at Rs 253-266 per share, and it listed in October 2025. As the offer was entirely an offer for sale, the company did not receive any proceeds from the issue, with the entire amount going to the selling shareholders.
