Sumax Engineering Limited was originally incorporated as Sumax Engineering Private Limited on December 21, 1994, and was converted into a public limited company on September 18, 2024. It is headquartered in Secunderabad, Telangana, and works in the automotive components sector.
The company manufactures and trades products for the automotive OEM (original equipment manufacturer) market and the auto refinish aftermarket. Its manufactured range includes adhesive tapes and die-cuts, pre-taped masking films, rubbing and polishing compounds, buffing pads, reflective tapes, domes and graphics, and car care products. It also trades electrical and pneumatic tools, abrasive materials, body shop consumables, retail accessories and aerosol products used in vehicle repair, refinishing and maintenance. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu and Haryana and holds certifications including ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. It is led by Sudeep Mehta as Chairman and Managing Director.
Total income rose to Rs 147.18 crore in FY25 from Rs 131.54 crore in FY24 and Rs 127.33 crore in FY23, while profit after tax rose to Rs 9.99 crore in FY25 from Rs 7.44 crore in FY24 and Rs 4.64 crore in FY23. This is an SME IPO, proposed to be listed on the NSE Emerge platform. The issue comprises a fresh issue of up to 43,00,000 equity shares along with an offer for sale of up to 10,00,000 equity shares by existing shareholders, taking the total offer size to about 53,00,000 shares, with the price band yet to be announced.
