Tenneco Clean Air IPO - Listing Performance & Details

Tenneco Clean Air India Limited established its first manufacturing plant in India at Parwanoo in 1979. It is part of the US-headquartered Tenneco Group and works in the auto components sector, manufacturing clean air, powertrain and suspension solutions.

The company designs and manufactures emission-control, powertrain and suspension products for original equipment manufacturers, sold under brands including Monroe, Tenneco and Champion. Its customers use these products in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles and industrial applications such as generator sets, two-wheelers and three-wheelers, with passenger vehicle OEMs in India accounting for a majority of revenue. As of mid-2025 it operated 12 manufacturing facilities across seven states and one union territory, comprising seven clean air and powertrain plants and five ride-technology plants, along with two R&D centres. It also supplies the aftermarket through Motocare India Private Limited, a group company. The promoters are Tenneco Mauritius Holdings Limited, Tenneco (Mauritius) Limited, Federal-Mogul Investments B.V., Federal-Mogul Pty Ltd and Tenneco LLC.

Revenue was Rs 4,890 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 5,468 crore in FY24 and Rs 4,827 crore in FY23, with profit after tax of Rs 552 crore in FY25, as per the RHP. The IPO was a mainboard issue on the NSE and BSE, structured entirely as an offer for sale of Rs 3,600 crore by promoter selling shareholder Tenneco Mauritius Holdings Limited, and it listed in November 2025. As the offer was entirely an offer for sale, the company did not receive any proceeds from the issue; the stated objective was to achieve the benefits of listing the equity shares.
