Laxmi India Finance Limited was incorporated in 1996 and is headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It works in the non-banking financial company (NBFC) sector.
The company is a non-deposit-taking NBFC that provides MSME loans, vehicle finance and construction loans, aimed largely at underserved and semi-urban populations. Its MSME finance offers secured loans against residential or commercial property, ranging from Rs 0.05 million to Rs 2.5 million, while its vehicle finance covers commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and tractors. MSME loans made up 76.34% of its assets under management (AUM), serving 18,596 secured customers, with more than 80% of MSME loans qualifying as Priority Sector Lending. Its branch network grew from 93 in March 2022 to 135 by June 30, 2024, spanning Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, while AUM rose from Rs 531.60 crore to Rs 1,035.54 crore over the same period. The company is promoted by Deepak Baid, Prem Devi Baid and Aneesha Baid, along with group entities Hirak Vinimay Private Limited, Deepak Hitech Motors Private Limited and Prem Dealers Private Limited.
Revenue rose 42% and profit after tax rose 60% between FY24 and FY25, as per the DRHP. This was a mainboard IPO, listed on the NSE and BSE, comprising a fresh issue of equity shares of face value Rs 5 each aggregating to about Rs 165.17 crore, along with an offer for sale of up to Rs 89.09 crore by promoters and other selling shareholders, at a price band of Rs 150 to Rs 158 per share, taking the total issue size to about Rs 254.26 crore. MUFG Intime India Private Limited was the registrar of the issue.
