Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited was originally incorporated as Sambhv Sponge Power Private Limited on April 25, 2017 in Chhattisgarh, later renamed Sambhv Steel Tubes Private Limited in February 2024, and converted to a public limited company in April 2024. It works in the steel pipes and tubes manufacturing sector.
The company manufactures electric resistance welded (ERW) black steel pipes and tubes, structural tubes (hollow sections), and galvanised iron pipes, using narrow-width hot-rolled coils. It operates a backward-integrated manufacturing facility spread across 334,540 square metres at Village Sarora, Tehsil Tilda, Raipur, in Chhattisgarh, producing intermediate materials such as sponge iron, blooms, slabs, and hot-rolled coils in-house. As of December 2024, its distribution network spanned 15 states and one union territory, with a strong presence in central and northern India. Vikas Kumar Goyal is the Managing Director.
On a restated basis, revenue from operations rose from Rs 819.35 crore in FY22 to Rs 1,285.76 crore in FY24, while profit for the year rose from Rs 72.11 crore to Rs 82.44 crore over the same period. The IPO was a mainboard, book-built issue of Rs 540 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs 440 crore and an offer for sale of up to Rs 100 crore by promoters and existing shareholders, at a price band of Rs 77 to Rs 82 per share, listed on the BSE and NSE. As per the RHP, net proceeds from the fresh issue were proposed to be used for pre-payment or scheduled repayment of certain outstanding borrowings and general corporate purposes.
