Schloss Bangalore Limited was established on March 20, 2019, and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It operates under "The Leela" brand in the luxury hospitality sector.
The company owns, operates, manages, and develops luxury hotels and resorts under The Leela brand, describing itself as India's only institutionally owned and managed pure-play luxury hospitality company. Its business model includes both direct ownership of hotels and hotel management agreements with third-party owners. As of March 31, 2025, its owned portfolio comprised five hotels with 1,224 keys across Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Jaipur, and Udaipur, alongside a broader operated and managed portfolio of 13 hotels with 3,553 keys. The company is promoted by a group of entities affiliated with Brookfield Asset Management, which acquired The Leela hotel chain in October 2019.
On a restated basis, revenue rose from Rs 860.1 crore in FY23 to Rs 1,171.5 crore in FY24 to Rs 1,300.6 crore in FY25, while the company narrowed its loss from Rs 61.7 crore in FY23 to Rs 2.1 crore in FY24 before reporting a profit of Rs 47.8 crore in FY25. The IPO was a mainboard, book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 2,500 crore and an offer for sale of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 1,000 crore by Brookfield-affiliated promoter selling shareholders, listed on the BSE and NSE. As per the RHP, net proceeds from the fresh issue were proposed to be used for repayment or prepayment, in full or part, of certain borrowings availed by the company, with the balance for general corporate purposes.
