Tempsens Instruments (India) Limited was incorporated on September 14, 1990 and is headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, with its main manufacturing base in the Madri Industrial Area of Udaipur, Rajasthan. It works in the thermal engineering and specialised cable manufacturing sector.
The company designs and manufactures temperature sensing solutions such as thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, infrared pyrometers and furnace monitoring cameras, along with electrical heating solutions including immersion, process and cartridge heaters, and specialised cables such as control, power, instrumentation and thermocouple cables. It serves customers in sectors including glass, cement, steel and power. As per the F&S Report cited in the DRHP, the company held around a 10% market share in India's temperature sensor segment by revenue and about 18% share in non-contact temperature sensors, as of March 31, 2025. It served more than 345 unique customers between April 2022 and March 2025, and exported to more than 75 countries in the same period through subsidiaries in India and the UAE.
Revenue from operations rose to Rs 378.53 crore in FY25 from Rs 236.94 crore in FY23, while profit after tax rose to Rs 62.56 crore in FY25 from Rs 33.2 crore in FY23. This is a mainboard IPO proposed to be listed on the BSE and NSE, comprising a fresh issue aggregating up to Rs 118 crore and an offer for sale of up to 1,79,25,071 equity shares of face value Rs 4 each. Of the fresh issue proceeds, Rs 35.37 crore is earmarked for capital expenditure on electrical heating and specialised cable solutions, and Rs 55 crore for repayment or pre-payment of certain borrowings, with the balance for general corporate purposes.
