WeWork India Management Limited was founded in 2017 (incorporated 2016) and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It works in the commercial real estate sector as a flexible workspace operator, holding the exclusive licence for the WeWork brand in India.
The company offers custom-designed buildings, floors and offices, enterprise office suites, managed offices, private offices, co-working spaces and hybrid digital solutions, leasing mostly Grade A office space. As of June 2025, it operated 68 centres with about 1,14,077 desks across eight major cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Noida, Delhi and Chennai. Its clients include large enterprises and startups such as Amazon Web Services India, JP Morgan Services India, Discovery Communications India and Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs. The promoters are Embassy Buildcon LLP (part of the Embassy Group), Jitendra Mohandas Virwani and Karan Virwani, with WeWork Global holding a minority stake through 1 Ariel Way Tenant Limited.
Revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 1,949.21 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,665.1 crore in FY24, with the company posting its first annual profit of Rs 128.18 crore in FY25 (aided by a deferred tax gain of Rs 285.7 crore) compared with a loss of Rs 135.83 crore in FY24, as per the RHP. The IPO was a mainboard book-built issue of about Rs 3,000 crore on the NSE and BSE, structured entirely as an offer for sale of up to 4,62,96,296 equity shares by Embassy Buildcon LLP and 1 Ariel Way Tenant Limited, priced at Rs 615-648 per share, and it listed on 10 October 2025. As the offer was entirely an offer for sale, the company did not receive any proceeds from the issue, with the entire amount going to the selling shareholders.
