Zepto didn't exist five years ago. Today it's one of the most closely watched companies heading to India's stock market.
Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra both Stanford dropouts started the business in 2021, initially as KiranaKart before rebranding and doubling down on the 10-minute delivery model. The idea was simple but operationally brutal: promise speed, build dark stores everywhere, and figure out profitability later.
The scale they've built is hard to ignore. Over 1,100 dark stores, 25,000+ products, and more than 20 lakh orders processed every single day. Revenue for FY25 came in at ₹9,668 crore more than double the previous year. The flip side? Losses nearly tripled too, hitting ₹3,367 crore. Growth is real, but so is the cash burn.
Funding hasn't been a problem. Zepto has pulled in over $2.45 billion across multiple rounds from names like General Catalyst, DST Global, and Lightspeed. The last raise in October 2025 -$450 million from CalPERS -put the valuation at $7 billion.
