Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Limited was originally incorporated as Navratan Capital and Securities Limited on March 21, 2007, and was renamed Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Limited on January 29, 2008, tracing its origins to the Anand Rathi Group's founding in 1994. It is headquartered in Mumbai and works in the stock broking and financial services sector.
The company provides broking services across equities, derivatives, commodities and currency markets, along with margin trading facilities, depository services, wealth management, mutual fund distribution, research, advisory and insurance broking, serving retail, high-net-worth, ultra-high-net-worth and institutional clients. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Anand Rathi International Ventures (IFSC) Private Limited, it also offers trading and investment services to non-resident Indians and family offices from the GIFT IFSC. This was a mainboard IPO, listed on the NSE and BSE, comprising entirely a fresh issue of 1.8 crore equity shares of face value Rs 5 each, with no offer-for-sale component, at a price band of Rs 393 to Rs 414 per share, aggregating to about Rs 745 crore. Of the net proceeds, Rs 550 crore was earmarked for funding long-term working capital requirements, with the balance for general corporate purposes. The company also considered a pre-IPO placement of up to Rs 149 crore, which would have reduced the fresh issue size correspondingly.
