Lalithaa Jewellery Mart Limited was incorporated on November 26, 1985 in T. Nagar, Chennai, and converted to a public limited company in early 2024. It works in the organised gold jewellery retail sector.
The company retails gold, silver, and diamond jewellery under the "Lalithaa" brand, with gold jewellery accounting for 93.96% of revenue in FY24, including rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, chains, bangles, and bracelets. It operates 56 stores across 47 cities in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Puducherry, with a strong presence in Tier II and Tier III cities, which contributed over 59% of revenue for the nine months ended December 31, 2024. It also runs jewellery savings schemes such as "Dhana Vandhanam" and "Free-yo-Flexi", serving over 4.2 lakh active customers. The promoters are M. Kiran Kumar Jain and Hemaa Kiran Kumar Jain.
Revenue rose from Rs 8,144 crore in FY22 to Rs 16,800 crore in FY24, while net profit more than doubled to Rs 359.8 crore over the same period; for the nine months ended December 31, 2024, consolidated revenue was Rs 12,594.67 crore with a profit after tax of Rs 262.33 crore. The IPO is a mainboard, 100% book-built issue of up to Rs 1,700 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs 1,200 crore and an offer for sale of up to Rs 500 crore by promoter M. Kiran Kumar Jain, proposed for listing on the BSE and NSE. As per the DRHP, about Rs 1,014.50 crore from the fresh issue proceeds is proposed to be used for setting up new stores, with the balance for general corporate purposes.
