Bigfoot Retail Solutions Limited, which operates under the Shiprocket brand, was incorporated in September 2011 and is headquartered in South Delhi. It works in the e-commerce logistics and shipping technology sector.
The company operates an asset-light platform that connects e-commerce sellers with courier service providers, offering automated shipping, courier recommendation, bulk order creation, shipping rate calculation, tracking, and returns management. Its offerings extend to cross-border shipping, checkout and fulfilment operations, and marketing services. As of its DRHP filing, the company served around 4 lakh merchants, with about 1.8 lakh active on the platform, and roughly 66% of deliveries came from tier II and tier III cities. It was founded by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor, and Vishesh Khurana, who are among the promoter selling shareholders along with investors including Lightrock, Arvind, Tribe Capital, and Bertelsmann.
Revenue from operations rose 24% in FY25 to Rs 1,632 crore, while the company's net loss narrowed to Rs 74 crore from Rs 595 crore in FY24. The IPO is a mainboard, book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 1,000 crore and an offer for sale of up to Rs 1,242.3 crore by existing shareholders, proposed for listing on the BSE and NSE. As per the DRHP, net proceeds from the fresh issue are proposed to be used for investment in the company's platforms across its core and emerging businesses, including marketing initiatives and strengthening technology infrastructure, repayment of debt, and funding inorganic growth through unidentified acquisitions along with general corporate purposes.
