Orient Cables (India) Limited was incorporated in September 2005 in New Delhi and is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. It works in the wires and cables sector, manufacturing networking cables and passive networking equipment.
The company's product portfolio spans networking cables and solutions, specialty power cables, optical fibre cables and related products, catering to sectors including broadband, telecom, data centres, renewable energy, smart building automation and security, system integration, fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) and automotive. According to a 1Lattice report cited in the DRHP, it holds about a 22% market share and ranks among the top five players in India's networking cables industry, with a revenue CAGR of about 23.18% between FY23 and FY25, compared with an average of about 11.48% for its peers. The company is led by Vipul Nagpal as Chairman and Managing Director, with Garima Nagpal as Whole-time Director.
Total revenue rose 25.4% to Rs 825 crore in FY25 from Rs 657.8 crore in FY24, with net profit rising 33% to Rs 53.3 crore from Rs 40 crore, as per the DRHP filed on July 10, 2025. The IPO is a mainboard book-built issue of about Rs 700 crore on the NSE and BSE, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 320 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 380 crore by existing promoters; the company may also consider a pre-IPO placement of up to Rs 64 crore, which would reduce the fresh issue size accordingly. Net proceeds from the fresh issue are proposed to be used for purchase of new machinery, equipment and civil works to enhance manufacturing capabilities (about Rs 91.5 crore), along with other objects including debt repayment and general corporate purposes, as detailed in the DRHP.
