Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited traces its origins to a partnership firm formed in 1998, became a private limited company in 2014, and converted to a public limited company in May 2025. It is headquartered in Perundurai, Erode district, Tamil Nadu, and works in the packaged dairy foods sector.
The company focuses on value-added dairy products rather than liquid milk, with a portfolio spanning paneer, cheese, curd, yogurt, ghee, butter, ice cream, UHT long-shelf-life products, chocolates, and sweetened condensed milk. It sources raw milk directly from more than 67,000 farmers across districts in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, within a 400-kilometre radius of its facilities, and operates an integrated farm-to-retail supply chain. Paneer is its largest product category by revenue, followed by cheese and curd. As of March 31, 2025, the company had 1,524 permanent employees. The promoters are Sathishkumar T and Anitha S.
On a restated basis, revenue from operations rose to Rs 2,349 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,822 crore in FY24, while net profit rose to Rs 46 crore from Rs 19 crore over the same period. The IPO is a mainboard, 100% book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of equity shares of face value Rs 2 each aggregating up to Rs 1,785 crore, along with an offer for sale of up to Rs 250 crore by promoters Sathishkumar T and Anitha S, proposed for listing on the BSE and NSE. As per the DRHP, net proceeds from the fresh issue are proposed to be used for capacity expansion, repayment or prepayment of borrowings, and general corporate purposes.
